Celery Juice? Surely not!

So for the past 10 days I decided to explore the world of Celery Juice. As someone who doesn’t like the taste of celery to eat you can imagine my curiosity of how this would pan out!

So what is it supposed to help? Anxiety, depression,brain fog, pins and needles, joint aches, inflammation, acne, gut issues, fibromyalgia and CFS symptoms, people diagnosed with MS have even found improvements in some of their symptoms.

So each morning I’ve been drinking 16oz/500ml of juiced organic celery (I used just off the shelf celery to start with but organic celery is much better for the detox of the liver!)

So how does it work?

  • strengthens your digestion of foods for the rest of the day
  • helps reverse inflammation because it starves pathogens including unproductive bacteria and viruses e.g Epstein Barr Virus.
  • contains mineral salts that act together as an antisepteic when these salts come into contact with viruses such as EBV and shingles, bacteria e.g. streptococcus and other pathogens
  • the salt also helps to stabilise blood pressure(whether too high or too low)
  • flushes toxins
  • helps to boost and protect white blood cells removing neurotoxins
  • balance pH
  • cleanses and repairs the stomach, digestive tract and liver
  •  antibacterial properties which creates a good environment for good bacteria which helps with UTI’s, IBS, SIBO or sinus infections.

We tend to hold a lot of fear in our guts by restoring the digestive system it helps to increase calming effects especially when feeling anxious, frightened, shocked.

This needs to be consumed on an empty stomach and wait 15 minutes after drinking it to eat or drink something else.

What have I noticed is different for me?

  • Brain fog especially first thing in the morning has been an issue for me for a while- this has improved, practically gone.
  • I used to struggled to get to sleep and feel panic a few times a week before- this has also improved.
  • My joints don’t ache as much after a long day at work.
  • I also haven’t craved coffee first thing in the morning or throughout the day(I have been known to have only coffee all day more than once!) I just feel clearer which is nice.
  • Also, I have hormonal issues that always show up as spots and bad skin, this has been a lot clearer. Which is crazy!

So I’m going to keep going!

How to:

  1. A whole head of celery should be enough for 16oz
  2. Juicer or Nutribullet ( Nutribullet you will need to sieve the juice out of the mulch/pulp! it is a lot harder)
  3. If the idea of just celery is too much- add some cucumber or an apple!
  4. You can even start with a small amount of celery juice each day and build it up
